I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to follow the Women's Bassmaster tournament
trail. I was given the opportunity to fish against some of the best female anglers in the inaugural
year and it was the platform for me to want to go out and compete even more. As a rookie I not only had a
great time but I actually made it to the money with a twentieth place finish and an eighth place finish making a historical
mark for Canadian women. Fishing on the
first pro-female team in the U.S Angler Choice series was also an exciting time for Cindy Burnham and myself.
Not only did we get the chance to fish professionally against the men, but we actually made our seat to the Classic...
making history again. Each tournament made me realize how many different
techniques there really are and how difficult sometimes the conditions could be. However it also
gave me the opportunity to learn along side some of the best female anglers in the world.
