Bennett Springs Park, Lebanon Missouri
I had the extreme pleasure of spending my Mothers Day with a group of women that deserve a hugh
applause.
The women of Hallmark Cards came out to learn how to fish and gave up their Mothers Day weekend
to come and experience their first time fishing.
We had a remarkable 2 days together learning how to fly fish with the great staff of the Jim Rogers
Fly School. Ed Johnson of Crappie Masters hosted the amazing event, and each one of us walked away inspired and
anxious to tell others of our experiences.
We filmed the whole experience and I will share with you shortly (a shorter version of a new fishing reality
show). We laughed together, cried together (Again Pam I am so sorry.) Remember fishing is sometimes painful, but worth
the experience.
We were able to sit around a camp fire, experience bear stew and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
Together we all were living the moment.
I was invited to be a guest and I walked away with an amazing gift. Each women took their lessons
seriously and all anxiously were ready to fish and outfish each other. Together the weekend wasn't really about catching
fish but about trying to catch fish. To have them open their minds to a new experience, and it was amazing to see
how they absolutely caught onto it.
I am proud to call each and every one of the Hallmark women my new fishing buddies, I look forward
to hearing all of their fishing stories around the camp fire next year.
Until later girls.... happy fishing.!
